Hello! こんにちは。
Welcome to my blog! I’m Yuki Okamura, and I’m so thrilled to have you here.
Imagine being able to navigate any cultural setting with ease, connecting effortlessly with people from all walks of life. That’s what my blog is all about – empowering you with valuable Japanese etiquette tips that will open doors and enhance your communication skills both in business and social settings. Whether you’re a seasoned traveler, a curious learner, or a business professional seeking to strengthen connections with people, this blog is for you.
As someone who has experienced a diverse upbringing in Australia, Thailand, and Singapore, I deeply appreciate the beauty of embracing different cultures and the richness they bring to our lives. My passion for peace and harmony drove me to pursue a master’s degree in the fields of International Development and International Peace Studies. Fueled by my love for Japan, I embarked on a fulfilling career at a prominent Japanese company as a corporate communications specialist, which has provided me with valuable expertise across various disciplines.
During my professional career, one transformative encounter with an American CEO ignited my determination to delve passionately into the world of etiquette and manners. This journey has led me to become a qualified etiquette coach, and I’m eager to share my knowledge with you.
But this blog isn’t just about formalities – it’s about life and love, too. Beyond my professional endeavors, I lead a fulfilling life in Tokyo as a devoted mother to two beautiful daughters, alongside my loving and hardworking husband. I’m excited to offer glimpses of my lifestyle as a career women and a mother living in Tokyo.
As you read through my blog, my hope is that you’ll not only gain practical insights but also foster a deeper appreciation for different cultures and the connections we can create when we understand and respect one another.
Thank you for joining me on this adventure filled with love, knowledge, and cultural exploration, and I can’t wait to connect with you and learn from your experiences, too. Let’s make the world a more understanding and harmonious place, one etiquette tip and heartfelt story at a time.
With love,
Yuki
